After practising yoga for almost a year, I was surprised with the changes that my body was experiencing throughout my journey, us bodybuilders we lack flexibility and sometimes our cardiovascular system is weak especially for beginners and when avoiding cardio in fear of losing muscle gains, throughout my experience, I noticed so many benefits that yoga had done to my body.
My joints opened up
I started losing the tension in my shoulders, hips, elbows and ankles, I started doing yoga before going to the gym, for example, when I was doing shoulder exercises in the gym I would do yoga before that and focus on my shoulders joints, of course, this helped me to lift heavier because my shoulders we’re losing up.
My cardiovascular system improved
I did yoga for my aerobic strength, my breathing was improving since started, this type of yoga focuses on long holding poses like planks and many more.
